Mazda Canada Launches "What Do You Drive" Facebook Contest

Contest encourages Canadian Mazda owners to share their driving experiences

RICHMOND HILL, ON, June 8, 2011 /CNW/ - Passionate about your Mazda? Love that Zoom-Zoom feeling when you drive it?  Starting June 1st, Canadian Mazda owners have the opportunity to share their driving experiences for a chance to win a brand new 2011 Mazda3.

The Mazda "What Do You Drive?" Facebook contest (www.facebook.com/mazdacanada) allows owners to upload their thoughts and feeling about what they drive in the form of a photo, video or a written testimonial.  Facebook users have until August 31st, 2011 to share their entries, as well as vote on their favourite entries.

The contest strives to underscore Mazda's devotion to creating exceptionally fun-to-drive, well-crafted vehicles.  "At Mazda, we don't build cars for everyone; we build cars for people who care about what they drive, so Mazda owners tend to be driving enthusiasts, said Vito Paladino, Director of Marketing for Mazda Canada Inc. "They're passionate about their cars, and they are also very engaged online. This contest gives them an outlet to express that passion."

Contest prizes include: one of two 2011 Mazda3 grand prize vehicles (one Mazda3 sedan GT, one Mazda3 Sport hatchback GT), a secondary prize of a Canon EOS 60D DSLR camera prize pack, as well as weekly Canon PowerShot SD3500 digital camera giveaways.

The "What Do You Drive?" contest runs June 1 through August 31, 2011 on Mazda's Facebook page. To participate, visit www.facebook.com/mazdacanada.
