truck continues to be available in 4X2 and 4X4 drivelines, and depending

on driveline, a choice of two engines, two cab configurations and two trim

levels. Ladder-frame construction, with fully boxed frame rails, produces a

rugged platform for Mazda’s pickup trucks, which ride on independent, double

wishbone front suspension with a stabilizer bar, and a solid axle rear

suspension with leaf springs.

New for 2010 is the addition of a B2300 SX 4X2 2.3L Cab Plus 4 door

model. New standard features on all 2010 B-Series models include side

airbags; Roll Stability Control (RSC); a Class III trailer hitch receiver; 4-wheel

disc brakes and front and rear splash guards.

The Mazda B2300 SX, powered by a 2.3 litre four-cylinder engine that

produces 143 horsepower and 154 lb-ft of torque, is available in a two-wheel

drive, regular cab configuration or the aforementioned Cab Plus 4-door

model. A five-speed manual transmission is standard with a 5-speed

automatic transmission available as an option.

Standard equipment on the B2300 SX includes 15-inch steel wheels

(15 inch alloy wheels on the Cab Plus model) 4-wheel ABS with electronic

brake force distribution (EBFD); sliding rear window; carbon-like centre panel

finish; 60/40 split bench seat; Tire Pressure Monitoring system; auxiliary

audio input jack and MP3-compatible CD player.

A Sport package is available as an option on Cab Plus 4-door models,

which includes power locks and windows; keyless entry; steering wheel

mounted cruise control; leather wrapped tilt steering wheel; SIRIUS Satellite

Radio; sport bucket seats and power foldaway exterior mirrors.

For 2010 the B4000 SE Cab Plus, 4-door is only available as fourwheel-

drive model. The B4000’s 4.0-litre, V6 engine produces 207

horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque, offering the greatest towing capacity in

Mazda’s line-up. Included among the standard features are air conditioning;

fog lights; 16-inch alloy wheels; skid plates for the front suspension, fuel tank

and transfer case; front tow hooks; body coloured door handles and a full size

spare tire.

The SE “plus” package is available as an option and includes power

locks and windows; keyless entry; steering wheel mounted cruise control;

leather wrapped tilt steering wheel; 6-disc CD changer; SIRIUS Satellite

Radio; sport bucket seats; power foldaway exterior mirrors and body colour

wheel flares. A 5-speed automatic transmission is optional.

Among the standard features on every Mazda pickup truck is a 3-year

roadside assistance program. Customers can feel secure knowing that

wherever they travel throughout North America should the need arise they

can obtain towing, winching, battery boosting, emergency fuel delivery, and

tire changing services. They will even get help if locked out of the vehicle.

Travel planning services and emergency travel expense reimbursement are

included in the roadside assistance program.

The 2010 B2300/B4000 are covered by a 3-year or 60,000 km vehicle

warranty that covers every part of the vehicle except those subject to normal

wear. Additional warranties cover powertrain and safety restraint

components for a period of 5 years or 100,000 km, body sheet metal

perforation for 5 years unlimited kilometres and selected emission control

components for 8 years or 128,000 km.
