At the kick-off to the Canadian International Auto Show media day in Toronto, Mazda Canada accepted the award for 2020 Canadian Car of the Year for the Mazda3 from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC). The Mazda3 was completely redesigned for the 2019 model year and is the fourth generation of the best-selling nameplate in Mazda's history.
CX-30 is the second model to adopt the latest evolution of Kodo design, a more mature interpretation of the striking design ethos. Based on sleek and bold styling, CX-30 is meant to evoke creativity in one's life. Realizing two contrasting expressions, the compact crossover has the flowing beauty of a coupe and the bold proportions of an SUV.
The all-new Mazda3 adopts a matured Kodo design language that attempts to embody the essence of Japanese aesthetics. While the overall form presents a simple, single motion, subtle undulations bring the design to life through shifting light and reflections that glide over the body surface. The result is a richer and more powerful expression of vitality than previous Kodo models. Despite sharing the Mazda3 moniker, the hatchback and sedan models have distinct personalities—the design of the hatchback is emotive, the sedan elegant.
The brand's flagship midsize crossover SUV receives numerous updates that focus on elevating the premium Mazda ownership experience. The well-appointed interior extends a rich feeling to each of the three rows, creating a sense of sophistication for all occupants. Available all-new captain's chairs help provide passengers a prestigious, first-class cabin feel. The hands-free, power liftgate is another new prominent feature on CX-9 GT and Signature trim levels that offers refinement and ease when loading cargo.
