Mazda Canada sales results for September 2013
September is eighth straight month of sales increases for CX-5

TORONTO, Oct. 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Mazda Canada announced sales for September 2013 today totaling 5,647, which represents a decrease of 16% compared to September 2012. Total year-to-date sales of 55,604 are down by 4% versus 2012.

Sales in September were led by the compact Mazda3, with 3,310 sold. Almost 60% of all Mazda3s sold in September were equipped with the fuel-efficient SKYACTIV Technology, which also accounted for 63% of all Mazda vehicles sold in September. With total sales of 1,384, the 2014 CX-5 has now enjoyed eight consecutive months of increased sales, rising year-over-year by 63% and 61% year-to-date compared to 2012.

"The 2014 Mazda3 is a revolutionary compact car that will quickly become the benchmark in the segment for its combination of excellent driving dynamics, exceptional fuel efficiency, and class-above technology."

The all-new 2014 Mazda3 is available now in dealerships with a starting MSRP of $15,995, which is the same base price as the outgoing 2013 Mazda3. It features Mazda's KODO - Soul of Motion design; advanced i-ACTIVSENSE safety features; the full suite of SKYACTIV Technology, including a choice of two SKYACTIV-G engines and two SKYACTIV transmissions, both manual and automatic; and Mazda's all-new Mazda Connect infotainment system that offers a wide range of media to the driver and its occupants.
