RICHMOND HILL, ON, April 3, 2017 /CNW/ - Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported March sales of 6,942 vehicles, representing an increase of 14.8 percent versus March 2016. Year to date sales are 15,484, which is an increase of 15.8 percent compared to the same period in 2016.
Key March 2017 sales notes:
- Mazda's best-selling model in March was the Mazda3 compact car (2,996 units), followed by the CX-5 (1,885) and CX-3 (843).
- CX-9 continues its strong sales growth in the month of March with 383 units sold for an increase of 275.5 percent versus the same month in 2016. This is now the twelfth consecutive month of year-over-year growth for the new second generation CX-9 following its launch in spring 2016, and its highest March sales volume ever.
- Mazda's passenger car lineup saw a rebound in sales in March, up 32.3 percent over March 2016, and 25.2 percent year-to-date.
