RICHMOND HILL, ON, Aug. 1, 2017 /CNW/ - Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported July sales of 6,591 vehicles, which represents an increase of 11.5 percent versus July 2016. Sales year-to-date (YTD) are 43,098, which is an increase of 7.2 percent compared to the same period in 2016.
Key July 2017 sales notes:
- Mazda3 sales were up 19.7%, outpacing the compact car segment, which was flat YOY
- Mazda6 sales climbed up 67.8%, also bucking the segment trend, which was down by 5.7%
- CX-3 sales increased 8.4% versus the same period last year
- CX-5 sales were up 4.1% compared to July 2016
- Total sales increased 11.5%, outpacing industry growth of 4.9%
- When making purchase decisions regarding crossover SUVs, a majority of Mazda customers continue to choose the AWD option, with 79.7 percent of CX-line vehicles sold in July being equipped with predictive i-ACTIV All-Wheel Drive.
