RICHMOND HILL, ON, May 1, 2019 /CNW/ - Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported April sales of 6,311 vehicles, representing a decrease of 13.3 percent versus April 2018. Year-to-date sales are 20,130, which is a decrease of 13.8 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
KEY APRIL SALES NOTES:
- For the first time in 2019, and the first time in eight months, the Mazda3 is back on top of Mazda's sales chart for the month, with the all-new 2019 Mazda3 outselling the award-winning CX-5.
- In the compact car segment down 11.4% in April, the all-new Mazda3 bucks the trend with an increase of 4.0%.
- Even as winter finally seems to be making an exit across the country, demand for the new i-ACTIV All-Wheel Drive option on the 2019 Mazda3 continues to grow, with 39.0 percent of new owners choosing this option.
- Among CX-line buyers, Mazda's i-ACTIV AWD continues to be in high demand, with 82.7 percent of customers choosing the AWD option in April.
