RICHMOND HILL, ON, Sept. 29, 2026 /CNW/ -- Mazda Canada today announced the Montréal edition of the Mazda Coffee Tour, inviting Canadians to explore the history, culture, and neighbourhoods that have shaped one of Canada's most vibrant cities through the lens of coffee and connection.

The Mazda Coffee Tour

The Montréal edition marks the second chapter of the Mazda Coffee Tour. Following its debut in Toronto, where the route celebrated the city's diverse and multicultural coffee scene, the program continues to showcase the people, places, and stories that shape communities across Canada.

Rooted in Mazda's belief that meaningful moments are found in every journey, this year's Mazda Coffee Tour is built around a simple idea: coffee and cars are both vehicles for connection. One brings people together. One brings neighbourhoods closer.

Long before specialty coffee became a trend, Montréal's cafés were places where neighbours gathered, friendships formed and communities found a sense of belonging. From the immigrant cafés that helped shape the city's identity to today's thriving specialty coffee scene, these gathering places remain an important part of Montréal's cultural fabric. Inspired by this legacy, the Mazda Coffee Tour invites Canadians to discover the stories, communities, and neighbourhoods that have shaped Montréal's café culture, one cup at a time.

"At Mazda, we believe some of life's most meaningful moments happen when people come together," said Amy Fleming, President and CEO, Mazda Canada. "For generations, Montréal's cafés have served as gathering places where communities connect, ideas are shared, and relationships are built. Through the Mazda Coffee Tour, we're celebrating those connections while showcasing how our vehicles can help people discover the neighbourhoods, stories, and experiences that bring a city to life."

To help bring Montréal's café culture and neighbourhood history to life, Mazda partnered with Thom Seivewright, founder of Montreal Expert and one of the city's leading storytellers and tour guides, to provide cultural and historical context throughout the experience. The Mazda Coffee Tour's Montréal route has been thoughtfully designed to explore the city's unique identity, highlighting its historic neighbourhoods, diverse cultural influences, and cafés that preserve traditions and continue to shape community life across Montréal.

"One of the best ways to understand Montréal is through its cafés," said Thom Seivewright, Founder, Montreal Expert. "Montréal's cafés, like Montréal's neighbourhoods, each have their own vibe, their own community, and their own specialties. That's part of what makes this city so fascinating. Every stop on this route offers a different perspective on the city and the people who shape it, revealing the stories, cultures, and connections that have defined these communities for generations. The Mazda Coffee Tour brings that to life, one cup, one neighbourhood, and one drive at a time."

Mazda CX-70 and CX-90 Named Official Vehicles of the Mazda Coffee Tour

Inspired by coffee culture's focus on craftsmanship, intentional living, and meaningful discovery, the Mazda CX-70 and CX-90 Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles have been named the official vehicles of this year's Mazda Coffee Tour.

The Montréal route was intentionally designed around the capabilities of the spacious Mazda CX-70 and PHEVs. Connecting neighbourhoods across the city, the route showcases how electrified mobility can support meaningful exploration while reducing emissions on everyday drives. With ample room for family and friends, the vehicles make it easy to discover Montréal together. Combining Mazda's signature driving dynamics with the flexibility of electrified driving, the CX-70 and CX-90 PHEV are a natural fit for a journey built around connection, discovery, and community.
